Cymin Samawatie receives German World Music Award

Cymin Samawatie received the German World Music Award Ruth. The jury stated that “Cymin Samawatie is among the most creative musicians of the German ethno-jazz scene.”

The statement also mentioned that “her activities reveal a multifaceted artistic personality, who works and performs at the most sophisticated levels and who creates new and daring elements adding to the bridges between Western and Persian music. This is the reason why she will be awarded the main prize of RUTH 2018.” The award ceremony took place at the Rudolstadt Festival 2018, where Trickster Orchestra performed on July 07, 2018.
